Marcy is a native of the Southern Tier of the Adirondacks and has always felt a deep connection to nature and the grounding energy it offers. She has called North Carolina home since 2007, where she has worked as a speech-language pathologist in healthcare. Her work with people has always been rooted in compassion, connection, and a genuine desire to support others on their journey.
Marcy’s spiritual path has been an important part of who she is. Since 2021, she has been studying Toltec wisdom as an apprentice of don Miguel Ruiz, author of The Four Agreements. This work has helped deepen her understanding of presence, intention, personal freedom, and the ways we can create greater peace and balance within ourselves.
In 2023, Marcy was introduced to Intuitive Reiki through Tara Murphy at A Touch of Earth Healing Arts Studio in Asheville. She continued her Reiki journey with Tara, completing Reiki Levels 1 & 2. What began as a curiosity soon became something much more meaningful. Marcy experienced how Reiki could help her feel centered, grounded, and connected—and she began to notice those same gentle shifts in the people around her.
During and after Hurricane Helene in 2024, Reiki took on an even deeper meaning for Marcy. In a time when so much felt uncertain and unsettled, she experienced the profound comfort of having an energetic practice that could help create a sense of calm and grounding. That experience strengthened her desire to share Reiki with others, especially during times of transition, stress, or simply when life feels like it is asking us to slow down.
Marcy brings together elements of Reiki and Toltec wisdom in her own practice and in the way she moves through life. She sees both as invitations to become more present, listen inwardly, release what no longer serves us, and reconnect with our own inner knowing.
One of the things Marcy finds most fascinating about Reiki is that no two people experience it in exactly the same way. She is drawn to the subtle intuitive impressions and energetic shifts that can arise during a session, while honoring each person’s experience as uniquely their own. For Marcy, Reiki is less about telling someone what they should feel and more about creating a safe, peaceful space where they can listen to themselves.
Her connection to Galloway Wellness Collective began as a Pilates student of Erin Owen, owner of Waynesville Pilates, whom she has worked with since 2019. She feels grateful that this relationship has come full circle and opened the door for her to now share Reiki within the Galloway Wellness community.
Marcy looks forward to continuing her Reiki journey and completing her Reiki Master training in September 2026 at the Omega Institute of Holistic Studies in Rhinebeck, NY, with Brett Bevell.
She believes Reiki is a gentle, non-invasive practice that can offer something meaningful to everyone, whether you are seeking a moment of stillness, feeling called to reconnect with yourself, moving through a season of change, or simply curious about what Reiki might feel like for you.
Marcy warmly welcomes you into her energetic space. Come as you are. Take a breath. Slow down. And allow yourself a little time to simply be.
“Marcy is a delight. I have loved every Reiki session I’ve had with her, and felt meaningful shifts each time. She truly facilitates positive change. I’m so grateful to have found her.”
